Your Purpose Is the Light You Bring
Your light is unique to you. It’s your own soul frequency, your inner essence.
Happy New Year Friend,
As we step into 2026, I want to remind you of something that will be pivotal for you this year.
You are light.
You have light.
And you are meant to shine your light in the world.
Your light is unique to you. It’s your own soul frequency, your inner essence.
And the more you process and alchemize the pain of your past that hovers around you like a shadow, the brighter your light shines.
It’s like when the clouds move away and the sun comes out.
Who you are when the sun is out…Who you are in the world…
Who you are as a mother, as a hairstylist, as a woman standing in line at the grocery store.
This is your purpose.
You don’t have to go out and do anything. It’s about the light you bring. Your soul essence. That is your purpose.
The other day, I was at the post office mailing something. Everything felt routine and mundane.
The woman working the counter, I’m not sure of her pronouns, but she was very tomboyish, asked if I wanted my receipt.
I said no, but the receipt printed anyway. I laughed and said, “Well, since it printed, I’ll take it.”
She smiled. A big, illuminating smile.
She said, “Yeah, we have to print it. There isn’t a no button so I was going to throw it away for you.”
Something about that smile hugged me. It warmed something inside of me, and I don’t even know why. I just know that when I walked out of that post office, I thought, That smile was everything.
I should have turned around and told her how beautiful it was.
And here I am, three days later, still thinking about it.
Whatever she left with me, whatever her soul light imprinted on me, that’s her purpose. She doesn’t have to start a business or go out and do anything special. Just her being in the world, at her job, her light touched me.
Now, I can’t speak to her healing journey…
But I can tell you from my own experience, as a woman who once walked around feeling like there was a rain cloud over me, that when you heal and those clouds part, the sun comes out, when you walk with the sun out, meaning your light shining and not hidden behind walls of pain, you touch people.
That is your purpose.
