Oh Shit. I Did It Again.
What the dishes, the laundry, and the Facebook scroll are really telling you
If there’s something inside of you that wants to be expressed, your message, your stories, your offers, your work but somehow it never quite makes it out into the world, here’s where I would start.
Let’s say you sit down to make a post, or record a video.
Then somehow you end up doing the dishes, folding laundry, checking Facebook, or doing literally anything else.
Later that night you’re lying in bed thinking:
“Oh shit. I did it again.”
That was me so many nights.
That pattern is sneaky as hell.
To move through this, the first step is no shame and no judgment.
Don’t be mean to yourself.
This is just data.
Trace yourself back to that earlier moment.
What happened in your mind?
What happened in your body?
The more awareness you bring to the pattern, the sooner you’ll catch it.
At first, you notice it at bedtime.
Then maybe five minutes after you’ve walked away from your desk.
You’re standing at the sink thinking:
“Oh, I just did it again.”
Now notice what happens in your body when you think about going back.
Finishing the post, sending the email etc...
For many women, that’s where the fear lives.
The problem isn’t that they don’t know what to say.
The problem is that sharing doesn’t feel safe.
My work is helping women get to the root of that fear through the body and somatics so visibility stops feeling like something they have to force.
Instead, sharing starts to feel natural.
Alive.
Freeing.
Because if this is your work, your purpose, or your career, who wants to spend years feeling anxious, fearful and frozen every time it’s time to be seen?
It doesn’t have to be that way, and I can help you.
Right now I'm opening space for a small number of women to do this work privately with me.
It starts with a Visibility Assessment.
I’ll walk you through questions that will pinpoint exactly where your visibility blocks are, we’ll talk about what’s needed to move through them, and if you want my help it, we’ll talk about that too.
Reply to the email and I’ll send you the link to book the call.
Talk soon.
Much love,
Essence
